
Chattanooga Red Wolves SC has acquired defender Timmy Mehl from North Carolina FC on a short-term loan, pending league and federation approval. Mehl will be available to the Red Wolves beginning Friday, Aug. 30 on the road against FC Tucson.
Mehl joins the Red Wolves from USL Championship side North Carolina FC. The 23-year-old California native has appeared in three matches for NCFC during his rookie season, including starts in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches against Richmond Kickers and Florida Soccer Soldiers.
Mehl joined NCFC in January after a standout collegiate career at Indiana University.
Chattanooga Red Wolves SC continues its four-week road stand on Friday, Aug. 30 as the team travels to Tucson, Arizona to take on FC Tucson. The match marks the third and final meeting between the two clubs and kicks off at 10:30 p.m. ET from Kino Sports Complex. Fans can stream the game live on ESPN+.
