
The Chattanooga Red Wolves are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Christian Enriquez for the upcoming 2023 USL League One season. Transaction pending league and federation approval.
Enriquez, a 24-year-old midfielder from San Diego, California, began his professional career with Portland Timbers II. In 2021, he moved to USL League One side Forward Madison FC, where he made 27 appearances over two seasons, playing over 1,600 minutes and scoring two goals from midfield. Enriquez was also a part of the U-19 national team, participating in three camps before playing at the collegiate level. Enriquez began his collegiate career with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he played 33 matches with the team. He was named the Big West Conference freshman of the year and played with the side for two years before
On moving to Chattanooga, Christian said, “The Red Wolves are a club I respect and a club that wants to win. I appreciate their vision and their ambition for success in the near future.” On his goals with the club, Enriquez said, “My goals are to contribute however I can and have a breakout year as a player, I aspire to win the USL League One Championship with the Red Wolves in 2023.”
Ahead of the new season, Enriquez expressed his excitement to play in front of the supporters saying, “I’m looking forward to meeting new fans as their support always makes the game so much more enjoyable, we aim to make them proud this season!
