The Chattanooga Red Wolves are pleased to announce the signing of Andrew Paoli for the 2023 USL League One season. Transaction pending league and federation approval.
Paoil has experience at the national level as a member of the U16 and U18 US National Teams. He was a member of the U18 Men’s National Team that won the 23rd International Vaclaz Jezej Tournament in the Czech Republic. He also scored the game-winning goal for the U18 squad to beat Portugal U18 national team in stoppage time in Portugal.
Paoli played his collegiate career at UCLA where he appeared in 63 games over five seasons, and received the “Coaches’ Award” at the team’s end-of-season banquet.
When asked to describe his style of play Paoli said “I’m a player who likes to help the team control the field and provide rhythm in the game by connecting play from the back and getting the ball to our attacking players in good spots as well as keeping the team organized to win the ball back in good areas.”
Club President and General Manager Sean McDaniel said, “Andrew is the prototypical box to box midfielder that fits very well into Coach Ziggy’s system. His impressive youth and collegiate career for the US U18 National Team and his time at UCLA has prepared him well to help carry the Red Wolves towards a League One Championship.”
On coming to the Red Wolves, Paoli said “I have heard great things about Chattanooga and its supporters and want to win a championship with the team in a dominating and entertaining way.”
After reaching the USL League One Final in 2022, the Red Wolves kick off their 2023 USL League One season at CHI Memorial Stadium on March 25th against Northern Colorado Hailstorm. Single game tickets available here
